Peter Leckett is a Canadian landscape artist residing in Ottawa. His work is a direct response to his subject matter.
'I much prefer working with a live model where possible. This forms the basis for either completed works done on site or serves as a memory imprint when working in the studio'.
Preferring to work 'en plein air', persistence and patience over the years has resulted in an ever-maturing style for this emerging artist. Working in a variety of mediums, particularily acrylic and watercolour, his focus remains the Gatineau Park; an area rich with mixed forest, isolated beaver ponds and quaint farmhouses.
Mr. Leckett is a sigature member in the Society of Canadian Artists (SCA).
